PathGrid – Garden Grass & Gravel Reinforcement Grid (UK Made)
GrassGrids PathGrid – Garden Grass & Gravel Reinforcement Grid (UK Made)
PathGrid from GrassGrids is a versatile ground reinforcement system designed specifically for garden pathways, landscaped areas and domestic outdoor spaces. Ideal for use beneath grass or gravel, PathGrid creates a stable, permeable base that helps prevent sinking, rutting and surface wear while maintaining a natural, attractive finish.
When filled with soil and seeded, PathGrid supports healthy grass growth for a seamless lawn appearance. Alternatively, when filled with decorative gravel, it forms a tidy, low-maintenance garden path that stays level and secure underfoot.
Designed for Garden Strength, Simplicity & Drainage
PathGrid is engineered to reinforce soft ground in domestic environments where durability, drainage and appearance are equally important. Its open-cell structure provides strength while allowing water to drain naturally into the ground.
- Garden-focused design – ideal for foot traffic and light domestic use.
- Fully permeable – supports natural drainage and reduces surface water.
- Recycled materials – manufactured using recycled HDPE / PP plastic.
- Durable & UV resistant – suitable for long-term outdoor installation.
Why Choose PathGrid for Your Garden?
- Supports grassed finishes – fill with soil and seed to create reinforced lawns or paths that stay firm even in wet conditions.
- Perfect for gravel paths – keeps stones neatly contained and evenly spread.
- Prevents muddy patches – stabilises soft ground and reduces surface damage.
- Simple installation – lightweight, interlocking panels are easy to cut and lay.
- Natural appearance – blends seamlessly into garden and landscape designs.
Ideal Uses for PathGrid
- Garden paths and walkways
- Grassed footpaths and lawn reinforcement
- Gravel garden paths and borders
- Access routes around the home and garden
- Landscaping projects where a natural finish is required
How Many PathGrid Panels Do I Need?
Each PathGrid panel measures 481 × 481 mm. Use the quick guide below to estimate the quantity for your path.
| Path Type | Typical Width | Grids Across (481 mm) |
|---|---|---|
| Single-person path | 600–750 mm | 2 grids |
| Main path | 900–1200 mm | 2–3 grids |
| Accessible path | 1200–1500 mm | 3–4 grids |
| Exact-fit widths | 962 / 1443 / 1924 mm | 2 / 3 / 4 grids (exact) |
Tip: Always allow a small extra margin for cuts, curves and edge restraints. Designing close to multiples of 481 mm can reduce waste and speed up installation.
Technical Specification Snapshot
A Natural, Sustainable Garden Solution
PathGrid offers an environmentally responsible alternative to solid paving and concrete paths. Its permeable design allows rainwater to soak back into the ground, while the use of recycled materials helps reduce environmental impact. The result is a practical, long-lasting garden surface that looks natural and performs reliably in all seasons.
Note: Correct ground preparation and installation are essential to achieve the best performance.

*Recycling facilities vary across the UK. Please contact your local authority for more information on how to recycle.
Note 1: The vertical loading strength of all grids will easily handle the maximum wheel load of any road vehicle in the UK. The turning forces and dry steering (turning the wheel while stationary) is the main cause of damage of these grids. It is therefore important to establish vehicle class use before specifying.

Signing for your Delivery
All materials must be signed for when they arrive on site, we would politely request that you sign and clearly print your name, therefore in the unlikely event of a delivery discrepancy we will have a person to contact by name. Items can be left without a signature at your request. However, we would like to bring to your attention that we cannot be held responsible for any damages or shortages.
Late Delivery
In the unlikely event of a late delivery, we are unable to compensate you for your builder’s time. Please ensure that your materials are on site before organising labour.
Checking your Delivery
We use third party carriers. Please check that you have received the correct amount of packages before signing the driver’s delivery tickets. Please note that signing the ticket unchecked will not cover you.
